The vast array of design problems associated with systems evolve rapidly. To help students develop self-propelled, self-learning abilities, students are trained to develop strong analytical foundation and translate them into tangible artifacts to attack open challenging problems. We exercise a few rules of thumb for lab members to assess worthiness of new research topics.
- Open technical challenges
- Relevance to the real world needs
- Criticality of mission requirements and system constraints
In addition to our core computer systems research, we have over 24 years of uninterrupted interdisciplinary research. We welcome partnership from different domains to collaborate on interesting and challenging problems.
